Gravel biking: ride with complete freedom
On the Vaucluse paths
It’s sometimes difficult to choose between a rural route along the narrow roads of Vaucluse, or a more rhythmic route along the rocky paths of Ventoux or the Luberon. Thanks to gravel bikes, your freedom is regained and you can cross all types of terrain. This freedom is guaranteed on a route dedicated to gravel biking in Vaucluse: time to start your dicovery!
What is Gravel biking?
An emerging discipline for amateurs and 2-wheel enthusiasts, Gravel biking allows for outings mixing roads, paths, and tracks… With this bike that is halfway between road bike and mountain bike, it is now possible to tackle mixed itineraries with varied terrain.
The itineraries are designed to add a dimension of discovery of the territory via its land and its Heritage.
The format is therefore ideal for itinerant stays alternating between varied landscapes, gourmet food breaks and visits: a program just like Vaucluse!
Did you know?
The word “gravel” refers to both the bike and the practice.
Specially designed itineraries
North of Ventoux
Around the Dentelles de Montmirail, along the vineyards, and for a discovery of the villages or at the foot of the Ventoux, several routes have been devised to allow you to use all the potential of your Gravel bike.
- With successive climbs and descents on roads and slopes around the Dentelles de Montmirail, this route is short but demanding.
- For a gentler but longer trip, go for the “Gravel Antik” itinerary that crosses villages with Provençal charm.
Top tip
You can also combine multiple itineraries for an itinerant trip.
