Petit Palais Museum

The tourist service at Avignon :

The museum houses a unique store of paintings from the Middle Ages and the Italian Renaissance (over 300 Italian “primitives”) including the Campana collection, an important reserve belonging to the Musée Calvet (Avignon School, 13th-16th century) and 12th- to 16th-century sculptures from Avignon and the surrounding area. This treasure trove is essential to understanding the art emerging in Italy during the Middle Ages and Renaissance period.
