Event at Carpentras :
On the occasion of this commemoration, the Forum des patrimoines invites you to come and discover the destiny of these local men and women who risked everything to defend our country and its republican motto.
It was just 80 years ago, in August 1944. After the Normandy landings, the Allied armies reached the coast of Provence. Some civilians, clandestinely engaged in the French Forces of the Interior, were to help them.
The Liberation of France had begun.
The Resistance took many forms, and each action had its own importance.
Through never-before-seen objects and archive documents, discover the daily life of the Ventoux Resistance during the Second World War. This project has been awarded the Mission Libération label by the French government.
